Character Spotlight: Deacon (The Scout)
[EXCERPT FROM THE BEGONER’S CLUB BEAST BINDER]
Welcome, reader, to our member list! Today we are sharing some information about Deacon!
Deacon is one of the original founders of the Begoner’s Club. While some think he is shy, I would actually use other adjectives for him, such as stoic, calm, and logical! Although he doesn’t say much, he is always there when you need him to be, and when Ate decided to take on the BEASTS in Pennybrook, he was right at her side without a moment’s hesitation! (Although I think he would prefer it if she was a bit less fast to do things!)
Deacon’s role on the team is incredibly important, because he is not only our friend and voice of reason, but also our scout! One of the things he has is this old but incredibly powerful UV (ultraviolet) Light, which can be used to detect all sorts of weird things we would’ve never seen using just our own eyes! Without him, we would definitely stumble right into diabolical traps, as well as sometimes lose our way, or else completely miss all the undescribable stuff left behind by the beasts and all their monster buddies! (Sorry, but I really don’t know how to describe that stuff!)
And then there is Deacon's fightlight! It takes the shape of a bow and arrow. He can use it to strike at the heart of the monsters even from far away! In this way, he is able to help the less… ahemprecise >.< …members of the Begoner’s Club. (Because sometimes we are more worried about Benny or someone causing a cave in, then any of the actual monsters getting us!!!!) Something else is when Deacon makes a trap of his own, which he can sometimes do, so that he can stop the monsters from chasing us, and I for one have been saved on more than one occasion by his well placed traps!! Whew!
In conclusion, it is my absolute pleasure to share a bit about one of the bravest Begoners there is, and might I also add one of the coolest too!! >.<
Sincerely,
Camila,
