Character Spotlight: Benny (The Specialist)

[EXCERPT FROM THE BEGONER’S CLUB BEAST BINDER]

Welcome, reader, to our member list! Today, we’ll learn about Benny! As one of Ate’s longtime friends, he was a Begoner from the very beginning! >.<

In a way, I think Benny’s the most experienced monster-hunter, since he has always liked to play freaky games like Right 2 Live, and he can recite scenes from scary movies that make my skin get all toady! However, when it comes to dealing with monsters in real life, he’s even more scared than I am! 

Luckily, even if he is trembling every step of the way, there’s never been a time he’s refused to go with Ate, Deacon, or Me. Benny is great to have along, since he brings cool toys that he has messed with in order to make them into monster-busting tools! My favorite is the ball-shooter-turret-things he can place around, because they’re always handy in a big battle, and especially when we need to run away! 

Additionally, Deacon, Ate, and I are all impressed by how he uses his ham radio. He can boost up its special signal in order to turn off C.O.N.E. traps, or even to find missing items for the Lost & Found! This is why I say that, although Benny doesn’t think of himself as a science-genius, he seems to just have a knack for fiddling around with things! 

Fun Fact: Benny once broke his RC car, fixed it, and broke it again, all in one day!! :O

Another thing about Benny is that his fightlight is a hammerang! It’s a mixture of hammer and boomerang, so he can throw it and it comes back, or just swing it at things that get too close. He stuns monsters, making it twice as easy for everybody, especially Ate, to destroy them!

Another Fun Fact: Benny came up with the name fightlight, and while Deacon said it sounds too much like nightlight, Ate and I said we both like it. : ) 

There is one thing that Benny loves most, though, and he calls it his last resort if he has to bring it out: that is Battlezorg. Battlezorg is always there for Benny. Battlezorg is like the most crazy sort of toy anyone ever got for Christmas, since not only does it have so many lights and sounds, but Benny made it so it can also electrocute his enemies!

So, to end off on, I think anyone who met Benny would find him really sincere and funny! But also he can do surprising things with strong tape, some batteries, and his unique way of seeing the world. Plus he is always there when you need him!
