A Little Developer Pup-date

Hiya, folks! A big thank you for your continued interest and patience. The work continues feverishly, and we’re progressing towards some exciting updates in the near future!! 

As those take shape, I did want to seize this chance to highlight a bit of joy in our lives, especially since she’s someone we’ve decided to share with Ate, her crew, and all the rest of you, too!

Her name is Peppermint, and she’s our diminutive animal companion. Our pint-sized, bright-eyed familiar. She joined the team last year, and has now officially squirmed her way into our cast of characters. She follows the Begoners faithfully around and, despite her piddly stature, can lend you a helping paw against the BEASTS!

You’ll find Pep lounging around the yard or clubhouse most days. Make sure to give her a nice pat when you do, since she’ll be unreasonably happy about it.

According to Ate, she’s half-Chihuahua, half-something. Some take that to mean she may be half-bat, but it’s probably just another dog-type, right? (Benny’s theory is that she’s actually half-BEAST!!)

Regardless, she really likes bread. She loves cheese so much it's her middle name. If you have the luck of summoning her while you’re out there a-banishing, you’ll find she’s a very good girl: she can raise your fallen friends herself, using just her puppy enthusiasm! 

(NOTE: Don’t be downed yourself, though, or she’ll panic… Separation Anxiety is unfortunately her other middle name.)

To be real for a moment, Peppermint has helped us stay sane as we bring Begone Beast closer and closer to the finish line. She’s part of the DNA of this game, which is why it only made sense to let her run around in there. It’s also just nice to think of her immortalized in a way : )

While there’s still lots to do, I’m happy I got the chance to share this little pupdate, and can’t wait to reveal big things in the coming months. I know waiting for concrete details can be frustrating, but our main focus is making sure it’s worth the wait. Be well, everybody!
